The proposed Green New Deal is “green” in exactly the wrong way. It will take green dollars out of the pockets of the American people and give them to privileged contractors and exploitative insiders like Al Gore. Remember Solyndra and all the other failures from Obama’s previous green deals?
All of this is classic #statesploitation! Big, tax-funded contracts go to insiders wrapped in noble-sounding promises. This will not help the environment. It will help the special interests that get the government contracts. It’s green cronyism!
The environment is most significantly improved by increasing the affluence-level of regular people. Indeed, people with expanding wealth and actualization (reaching for one’s full potential) naturally seek quality-of-life improvements. That, in turn, creates market demand for green products and energy sources that entrepreneurs can fill. We need politicians, bureaucrats, and statesploiting interests to deal themselves out. Tell your reps to vote NO on all Green New Deal proposals.
