Make Congress sit through the reading of their bills

Incentives matter. Congress has little incentive to say NO to anything.

It’s not as if they have to read the bills they’re imposing on you!

But there’s one particular clause in the RTBA that scares lobbyist and congresscritter alike…

A majority of legislators would have to sit and listen to the bill being read, word-for-word from start to finish. The wordier the bill, the longer they’d sit. Do you think they’d endure long, pork-filled bills legislating on this or that?

Suddenly, there’d be an effective, new incentive to say NO more often. Congress would be doing less. And that’s not all RTBA does, as explained in the letter you should send to Congress, below.

Congress cares about constituent opinions. Your letter will be COUNTED and it’s POWERFUL because you aren’t acting alone. It’s more meaningful than leaving comments in some online debate!
