Victory! Section 215 spying is going to die!
The PATRIOT Act authorized spy agencies to collect so-called metadata from phone companies, to track your location.
Edward Snowden exposed the fact that the National Security Agency was actually doing this kind of spying.
Downsize DC has opposed this spying both by pressuring Congress and by publishing amicus briefs. We also predicted that metadata spying (the “haystack theory”) was an inefficient way to find terrorists.
The NSA now agrees with us and claims to be discontinuing Section 215 spying.
That which is falling should also be pushed. (You can never be too sure.) Tell Congress to repeal Section 215 of the Patriot Act!
