The GOP just made a terrible spending deal with the Democrats. Libertarian columnist James Bovard calls it “no boondoggle left behind.” Rush Limbaugh says it removes any need for a Republican Party. We think it argues for this response…
Please tell your reps to sponsor Downsize DC’s “One Subject at a Time Act. “The hardwired message for the OSTA campaign reads…
I want my representatives to re-introduce Downsize DC’s “One Subject at a Time Act” in the House (formerly HR 2113) or co-sponsor it in the Senate (currently S. 1572).
Add your personal comments. You can copy or edit the following sample letter for that purpose…
I ask for this action in response to the recently passed 2,000 page $1.1 trillion spending bill. I object to that bill because…
1.You didn’t read the bill before passing it (please also sponsor Downsize DC’s “Read the Bills Act” — https://archive.downsizedc.org/etp/rtba/ )
2. The bill raises the national debt.
3. The bill wastes money in multiple ways, as described by James Bovard — http://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2015/12/17/budget-bill-leaves-no-boondoggle-behind-column/77476422/
4. The bill contains unrelated measures, including the privacy destroying “cybersecurity” bill – CISA.
CISA might not have been enacted on its own. So it had to be crammed into a sure-to-pass spending bill. This practice must end! You end it by passing Downsize DC’s “One Subject at a Time Act.”
Please inform me whether or not you plan to take this action.
