Last month, Congress authorized funding for Syrian “moderate” rebels. We're supposed to believe they'll serve as the “boots on the ground” in the “war” against ISIS.
Do you even have a clue what you're doing?
Moderate groups barely exist at all in Syria. Even the Northern Storm Brigade, with whom John McCain had a photo-op, is a gang of kidnappers and smugglers.
Moreover, they…
* Want to fight the Assad regime, NOT ISIS.
* Will be seen as our Western/Christian proxies and won't be trusted by the people.
Arming “moderates” will only PROLONG the “war.”
* This is what happened in Iraq, with the military you trained so well.
* This is what happened in Libya.
And the arms you provide in Syria will end up in Al Qaeda's or ISIS's hands or some even greater Frankenstein enemy, created by your actions today.
The only winners will be the arms manufacturers.
Americans, on the other hand, will be in greater danger of domestic terrorism.
I demand that you RESCIND this money immediately!
