Do You Favor Negotiations with Iran?

NOTE: Stop Watching Us, a transpartisan coalition in which DownsizeDC.org is a partner, is holding a rally THIS SATURDAY in Washington DC to protest NSA spying. Even if you can't attend, you can get involved. Find details here.

I sent Congress a letter using our Iran campaign. The hardwired message for that campaign reads…

I oppose conflict with Iran.

To this I added the following personal comments which you may copy or edit…

Tell the President that you support negotiations with Iran. I see no reason for continued conflict with that country.

Iran's defense budget is less than that of Norway.

The 2007 National Intelligence Estimate concluded that Iran has no plans to build a bomb.

The International Atomic Energy Agency reported in 2011 that Iran ended its bomb program in 2003. James Clapper, the Director of National Intelligence, reaffirmed this last year.

Please end the saber rattling. The Military Industrial Complex may need new enemies, but I don’t.

—END OF SAMPLE LETTER—

Send your letter to Congress using DownsizeDC.org's Educate the Powerful System.

You will receive a copy of your letter to Congress via email. Please share your letter with friends. Ask them to take the same action.

If you value this service please consider making a donation.

The facts used in the sample letter come from a fine column by Steve Chapman.
