Does Obama want Privacy and Civil Liberties Protected?

Created in 2004 and revamped in 2007, the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board was intended to play a vital and independent role in safeguarding the privacy and civil liberties of Americans as major legal and policy changes were put in place to fight terrorism.

The problem is, the Board does not exist because President Obama has not nominated anyone to it!

Yesterday, DownsizeDC.org joined with 31 other organizations across the ideological spectrum in sending a letter to President Obama strongly encouraging him to nominate members to the Board. You can see this letter here.
