How Soon Will You Get New Tools?

Okay, here’s where we stand with our big One Sack infrastructure project. One Sack will give us a unified database to which we can then attach new tools to make YOU more powerful. In other words . . .

* Your Dispatch subscription
* Information about your use of the Educate the Powerful System
* And your contributions

. . . will all be in one record — one database.

Even better, eventually, you’ll be able to access, edit, and update your record. I know our pledgers will love this feature.

Ultimately, NEW tools will steadily be added, giving you a powerful TOOLBOX you can use to influence the world around you.

Here’s where we stand . . .

* The structure of the database is very nearly complete
* A user interface is being tested and refined
* A script is being written for merging our databases

Now comes the really tedious part . . .

If you’ve ever moved (and we all have) then you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. When it’s time to pack the stuff, it seems to constantly multiply. The more of it you pack, the more of it there is.

That’s our next step, literally moving data. Still, the burn rate on our cash should start to ease, even if the nitty-gritty tasks drag on for another week or two. Speaking of the burn rate, here’s where that stands . . .

You wonderful friends have helped us keep pace with our bills during this money intensive month, which included an extra staff payroll (that happens twice each year). Our target was to raise $23,800, and we’ve brought in $17,300 so far, with two days left in the month. That already makes this our second best month all year, and with a little more support it could end up being number one

Our hope?

We’re hoping that we can actually meet what’s left of the goal by the end of this weekend. That means we need to raise another $6,500 this month. Honestly, I can’t see that happening without a couple of $500 to $1,000 investments, plus lots of smaller donations of various sizes.

We’re also hoping to elevate the monthly pledge level so that we can keep right on rolling into the aforementioned Tool-building phase in August, September, and beyond.

Please help if you can, as you can. You can contribute, using our secure form (our mailing address is provided there as well).
