1) We need volunteer coaching and assistance using Visual Communicator (originally by Serious Magic, which was recently acquired by Adobe). This program was given to us by a friend. It has a built in teleprompter, green screen, and graphics tools. We’d like to utilize this program efficiently as part of our brand new website, coming in July. But we’re having challenges figuring out some of the tools, particularly fading titles in and out, as well as a big problem getting the lighting right. 2) If we have academically trained economists on our list, especially anyone with special expertise in monetary and banking issues, we could desperately use your help to evaluate occasional items of legislation related to monetary policy. Please contact us if you would be willing to volunteer your expertise for this purpose. A quite minor amount of work is involved, but it’s a major need for us. 3) We have donors interested in making stock donations to the Downsize DC Foundation. At present, we don’t have a brokerage account. We’d prefer to work with a DC Downsizer, rather than just some institutional face — someone who would take a personal interest in us. If that’s you, then please contact us and tell us what services you can offer, what normal fees would be and if you’d be willing to donate any of those, etc. Please email us at HelpWanted at DownsizeDC dot org.
