Subject: March Numbers
We didn’t quite hit our recruitment and activity numbers for March, but we still did pretty good, and we are still way ahead for the year over what we did in 2006. Here are the numbers . . .
We recruited 937 new Downsizers and sent 27,432 messages to Congress.
We missed beating March of last year by 193 recruits and 15,612 messages, but we’re still way ahead for the year as a whole.
Through the first three months we have so far exceeded last year’s numbers by 447 new Downsizers and a whopping 31,467 messages to Congress.
The “Read the Bills Act” Coalition has grown to 33 member websites, and there are more waiting to be processed.
We also made our fundraising goal for the 8th month in a row. Thank you Downsizers!
From our founding through the end of March we have . . .
* Recruited 17,838 Downsizers
* Send 552,960 messages to Congress
* And spread the word through 103,468 Tell-a-friend messages
Our goal for this month is to beat what we did last April, which means we hope to recruit in excess of 745 new Downsizers, and send more than 37,737 messages to Congress.

Jim is out of town today, giving a lunchtime speech to the Defiance, Ohio, Rotary Club about Downsize DC and the Read the Bills Act.
