Some seek “magic bullets” to reverse the rising tide of Big Government. We prefer a long series of small steps that accumulate to travel a long distance. Then, if a magic bullet does appear in our holster we’re already closer to our target, and more likely to hit our mark. But if no such magic bullet ever appears we still get where we’re going anyway.
We call this approach relentless incrementalism. Progress may only come in increments, but incremental progress that accumulates relentlessly cannot be defeated. This approach is the key to the next two items . . .
RTBA MEET-UP GROUPS:
If Downsizers keep forming new RTBA MeetUp Groups than we cannot fail to organize the entire country. If we organize the entire country then we cannot fail to find 1,000+ people to go to Washington, DC to make national news by pressuring Congress, in mass, to pass the Read the Bills Act. We need someone to take the next incremental step by starting the next RTBA MeetUp Group. You can learn how to do it here.
OPERATION EVERYWHERE:
DC Downsizers cannot compete with DC Upsizers until the Downsizing message is heard as often as the Upsizing message. We must reach the point where our message is heard by everyone, everywhere, everyday. We call this Operation Everywhere. Operation Everywhere can be done incrementally, if only we will do it relentlessly.
Operation Everywhere begins the day we have $168,000 a year secured by monthly credit card pledges. Fundsraising above that amount will fund advertising, recruiting more Downsizers, leading to more advertising — until our message is heard by everyone, everywhere, everyday. These monthly pledges can come in small amounts, of $3, $4, $5, $6, $7, $8, or $9. You can make your micro-pledge here.
We took an incremental step forward yesterday. 80 similar days would begin Operation Everywhere. If you want to make a larger monthly pledge to get there faster you can do so here.
