Increasing the debt raises taxes on children who can’t vote. This is “taxation without representation.” No power on Earth can make it moral for you to do this. You have no special magic to turn wrong into right. Stealing from future generations is simply criminal.
Please issue a press release making a public commitment to maintain the debt ceiling. Maintaining the debt ceiling will have the added benefit of balancing the budget immediately.
