OK, here’s the poll.
I scored it in the following fashion…
* First choices got one vote.
* Second choices got one-half vote.
* Scariest votes got a full one vote, unless the voter mentioned two or three candidates, and then I divided it into one-half or one-third, respectively. If a voter mentioned more than that, it was too complicated for rapid tabulation and no negative vote was registered.
So, the score has the total of postive firsts and seconds, minus the negatives. That’s the first number.
The second number is the total number of times the candidate was MENTIONED (voted for) in first, second, and negative (a third, half, or whole).
Congressman Ron Paul got the most mentions and the highest positive mark.
Clinton and Guiliani got the second and third highest mentions, respectively.
I think, by virtue of their current front-runner status, they also got the highest negatives. What’s interesting is that some conservatives cited Guiliani as their most feared and some liberals cited Hillary. And were it not for the fact that so many folks split their vote between the two, it would’ve been worse. Only one person cited Clinton and two Guiliani as their first choices. These are polarizing figures.
