This is just a brief message to wrap up February and a quick action item.
We actually exceeded our monthly budget goal for February. And more people donated to us last month than in any single month in 2007. It was exciting to see our vision (of a lot of people doing a little) at work.

Congress returns this week. The Administration continues to apply misleading pressure and scare tactics on the House to “do something” about terrorism and pass that anti-Fourth Amendment, warrantless spying bill, combined with Big Telecom immunity.
We must reinforce the good work the House Democratic leadership is doing by standing up to the President.
Please, especially if you haven’t acted recently, send a message to your Congressional Representative saying,
“Thank you to the House of Representatives for allowing the Protect America Act to sunset. I feel so strongly about the problem of warrantless surveillance that I’m sending this message to my Senators as well.”
And then, please personalize it. There’s space to express yourself. And personalized messages have greater impact. Please tell them to leave it in sunset. And explain to them, in your own words, why you believe warrantless spying and Big Telecom immunity are bad.
