This is the first message of the new era at Downsize DC. And you’ll be able to tell others, “I was there at the beginning.”
Downsize DC must switch software vendors. Today, we’re testing the email newsletter tool by this new service. Meanwhile, we’re explaining, in our regular newsletter, a new era with a new strategy for Downsize DC (so keep reading).
From 2004 to 2008, our congressional communication vehicle was the Electronic Lobbyist.
From 2008 to 2017, we utilized our Educate the Powerful System.
Both systems were entirely proprietary – that is, our team had built our own tools from scratch. It became too much of a burden to maintain our own system. In 2017, we switched to an outside vendor and launched Engage.
For our entire history, every Action was undertaken by the Downsize DC Army. These tools were designed to build a force so large that Congress couldn’t afford to ignore it. The army era is at an end and this is our first non-Downsizer-Dispatch. Something new is taking its place.
