I share news of progress below, but first . . . our monthly operating expenses are the most modest I’ve seen. Frankly, we don’t intend to stay so modest. We’re looking to grow. But right now . . .
Our monthly budget = $15,000.
Our income thus far this month = $2,460
We’re processing pledges later this week and expect about $7,100.
Balance needed after that = $5,440
Fortunately, a generous donor has stepped forward and offered the final $3,000 to achieve our monthly budget.

Monthly pledges are extremely important to us. They give us long-term stability, the capacity to plan ahead, and, as the amount increases, greater ability to take the kind of risks that can pay off with big successes. We have monthly pledgers contributing between $3 and $235 per month.
Last year, despite new fundraising competition, we grew this organization and now 21,000 people are reading this message. They are more dedicated than ever — that is, they send more messages with less prompting.

We’re the home of the “Read the Bills Act,” the “Write the Laws Act,” the “One Subject at a Time Act,” and the “I Am Not Afraid” campaign. We’re trying to save the world one bill at a time, in terms of legislation, but also by paying our bills. Can you help us?
The enthusiasm is growing. I’m being invited to speak to more groups than ever before. 10 days ago, I gave a speech to a big group in New Hampshire. Two nights ago, I delivered what one observer called a “sermon” to a group of more than 100 people in Ohio. My “sermon” won a lot of converts. In February, I’ll address another big group in California.
And for the past week, we’ve been running radio ads, in Arabic, in Michigan, for Ron Paul’s American Freedom Agenda Act — a total of 60 spots!
Our goal is simple. But the work required is large. We must build an army so large that Congress cannot afford to ignore it. We must build a force so big that we can get the message out everywhere, every day.
That starts by adding pledgers. That begins by making budget in January.
