TODAY, the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) will be re-introduced.
Our understanding is that it is the exact same bill that passed the House last year but stalled in the Senate. Here is one summary we provided last year.

That's why I have questions about the reintroduction of CISPA. Is it really about cyber-SECURITY or cyber-SURVEILLANCE?
What makes you think that I would consent to a bill that…
* Encourages businesses to violate privacy agreements they make with me and gives them legal immunity when they do?
* Authorizes them to spy on my neighbors and I, and hand over the information to the feds?
* Places almost no limits on what the feds do with the information?Isn't the law supposed to ENFORCE contracts? Why are you letting businesses break them?
And isn't Congress violating the Golden Rule here? If you want to surrender your own privacy, that's your business. But how can you take away mine?
OPPOSE CISPA!
CISPA is simply not legitimate, morally or constitutionally. Will you fail to honor your oath of office and do the wrong thing? If so, you'll be sending another signal that it's time to take Thomas Jefferson's advice to alter or abolish this present form of “government.”
