DownsizeDC.org has joined with 29 other organizations in sending a letter to the House Government Reform and House Administration committees asking for passage of the Access to Congressionally Mandated Reports Act.
This bill requires that “any report required by statute to be issued to Congress and releaseabe under the Freedom of Information Act must be posted” on a goverment website within 30 days of its transmission to Congress.
This bill will provide a “wealth of information” about the performance of federal agencies, and promotes transparency and accountability in government.
