Most parents favor armed teachers. Seriously!

The people who actually have something at stake favor armed teachers. Retweet

A Rasmussen poll shows that a majority of parents favor armed teachers. If you see poll results showing that people oppose armed teachers, then know that the pollsters included people with no kids in school.

  • Should parents who want armed teachers be prohibited from having them?
  • Should parents who oppose armed teachers be forced to have them?

Is there some way that both kinds of parents can get what they want? Yes there is. School choice. We have a new campaign that argues for this.

The hardwired letter to Congress reads…

Create an educational tax credit to allow parents to choose for or against armed teachers

If you agree with the following sample letter to Congress you can visit our site to send it, or revise it to fit your needs…

A Rasmussen poll shows that a majority of parents favor armed teachers. It’s mostly people who have no kids in school who oppose letting teachers be armed. Educational choice is an experiment that lets people of differing views get what they want. So…

Create an educational choice tax credit. Let parents choose schools that permit armed teachers, or schools that don’t. We must stop trying to use The State to impose our personal preferences on people with differing views.

— END OF SAMPLE LETTER–

Wait, you argument against arming teachers is based on cost we can not afford, then your solution is so easy it does not need a cost break down. And what do you base 25% of teachers would need to be armed? You have an officer who is or is assigned to each school already. With 4 teachers per school armed, that would be 5 on 1 if someone came into the school. Those are good odds without needing 25%, which I doubt you would find 25% who are comfortable being armed. Now how many former military or police/deputies are teaching? Do we have competitive sport shooters already teaching? We have three colleges that have competitive shooting programs, so there could be some teachers who participated. 1+
