“The Dietary Supplement and Non-Prescription Drug Consumer Protection Act (the AER bill), which threatens your access to dietary supplements, was passed in the U.S. Senate at 9 pm Wednesday, December 6. Now we must take immediate action to stop the companion bill (HR 6168) in the U.S. House of Representatives.
“We urge you to click on this link now to find out more about this vitally important issue and to exercise your constitutional right to let your voice be heard.”
And to Life Extension’s words we add, Congress is most dangerous when they’re on their way out the door. As we understand it right now, Congress will stay an extra day — working Saturday. Then they will leave (finally). We must be vigilent.
Sending a message is important — a priority. But given that this is Friday and Congress is on their way out of town, time is short. So we recommend that you also call your House Representative as well. When you login to our system, their contact information, including phone number, is there. Remember, please be brief and polite. I find it helpful to write out my sentence or two before I call, and I always remember to tell them what my name and city are so that they know they’re hearing from a constituent. Please act now, or expect your vitamins and supplements to go up in price.
