If you dislike Obamacare, support the Read the Bills Act

Quote of the Day: “But we have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.” — Nancy Pelosi

“Unforeseen” costs of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) are higher than projected.

Is this a surprise?

It's the natural result of supporting bloated bills no one reads or understands.

That's why I told Congress to introduce and pass the Read the Bills Act.

You may borrow from or copy this letter…

If you don't even read the bills you pass, you fail to represent me. Your vote is ILLEGITIMATE.

But there's a second reason to pass RTBA. The required reading of all bills before a quorum in your chamber will lead to smaller government.

That's because…

No one in Congress will want to sit and hear thousands of pages of legislation read to them.

Obamacare is an example.

Everyone knows that NOBODY in Congress read or fully understood the 2,409-page Obamacare bill. Yes, we saw…

* Debates of some provisions
* Political chicanery
* Kickbacks

But did you know about…

* the 21 tax hikes, costing their victims almost twice the original projections? ( http://bit.ly/ZniAlC)
* states gouging federal taxpayers to pay for expanded Medicare programs? ( http://bit.ly/WcNKLE)

In short, you cause HARM to me and my neighbors when you fail to read the bills you pass. You…

* Steal our money
* Impose complicated laws
* Bury the economy in paperwork

The Read the Bills Act would rectify that with…

* Shorter bills
* Fewer laws

If you don't want bills like Obamacare, support the Read the Bills Act!

And if you don't think you should read the bills, then please tell me why you think you're representing me? Here's what I think…..

Failure to support the Read the Bills Act makes you illegitimate.
