For instance, even Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner, the man who introduced the Patriot Act and REAL ID, believes the NSA has broken the law.
Meaning, even one who DISagrees with us on key issues, agrees about the NSA . And…
A growing number in Congress have grown weary of the constant assault on our civil liberties at home and endless interventions abroad.
In addition, the White House is so afraid of losing on the NSA amendment that they have actually issued a statement opposing it. We think it is telling that they would comment on this one amendment out of the scores that are being offered. We take this as another sign that victory is possible, if you keep up the pressure.
In close votes, we can nudge enough members in our direction to achieve victory.
