I sent the following letter to Congress this morning using DownsizeDC.org’s “Repeal Obamacare” campaign.
The hardwired message on that campaign reads…
Please repeal Obamacare.
I added the following personal comments…
You passed Obamacare over the strong objections of the American people. You did the same with the corporqate bailouts when the housing bubble you created burst. Now you’ve passed a fraudulent debt deal that doesn’t actually cut the debt. No wonder S&P downgraded your credit. But your credit with the American people is gone too. Your approval ratings are in the tank. And now comes this…
A new Rasmussen poll shows that only 17% of Americans say that the U.S. government has the consent of the governed. http://tinyurl.com/3uqlszn
I hope you remember what the Declaration of Independence had to say about the consent of the governed. Your power comes from that consent.
So I suggest you start to get right with the American people, or wave bye-bye to your cushy position. You could start things in the right direction by co-sponsoring legislation to repeal Obamacare.
You need to gain my consent, because you do NOT have it now.
