U.S. politicians should ignore Iran and reject the Saudis Retweet
The ten-year-old boy shouted “The people want human rights,” from his bicycle. Saudi Arabian authorities were limited by their own “laws” as to how much they could punish a child for committing such a treasonous act. So they held him in pre-trial custody, mostly solitary confinement until he reached age 18.
Now they can behead him. They intend to follow that with a crucifixion of his corpse.
Please notice that U.S. politicians consider the Saudi’s to be close friends. Could you imagine if Iran did this?
Wouldn’t those same U.S. politicians urge an immediate attack on Iran?
After all, one of the reasons for our enmity with Iran is our close relationship with Saudi Arabia.
But Iran has never harmed America. And if you think that the 40-year-old hostage crisis is an example of harm, think again. The U.S. embassy was the HQ for the CIA coup that overthrew Iran’s democracy in 1953. Iranian revolutionaries knew this history, and they captured the embassy to keep it from happening again as they brought a new government to power. The politicians and the media did a disservice by failing to explain that background to the American people. But it got worse…
U.S. politicians aided Saddam Hussein in waging a proxy war against Iran. Our politicians gave Hussein chemical weapons, helped his military with targeting those weapons, and then participated in an international cover-up. To this day, most people believe that “both sides used chemical weapons,” while the evidence demonstrates that only Iraq did, in violation of international law.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration is pushing an $8.1 billion weapons sale to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan. By law, arms sales require congressional approval. The Trump administration is using a national security “emergency” to get around any congressional review. Instead, they’re declaring a national security “emergency,” citing the threat posed by you know who… Yes, Iran.
Well, this is a national security emergency. But it’s YOU who must act. The threat of war against Iran is, once again, a real possibility. Your reps need to hear from thinking constituents who do more than swallow shallow media talking points. Here’s the Action…

The House of Saud and the Saudi government are disgustingly backward and fantastically archaic in their thinking and behavior. Divest from Saudi Arabia! I feel so sorry for the people of Saudi Arabia.
