URGENT: Shout NO! to Ryan’s healthcare bill

If you want free market healthcare, you must act now to defeat Ryan’s Obamacare-lite. Retweet

Quote of the Day: Regardless of the outcome of tomorrow’s vote, the Republicans will have failed to repeal Obamacare, the single issue they’ve run on for eight years. – Tom Mullen

House Speaker, [GOP Obamacare Dealmaking]Paul Ryan, is trying to push his Obamacare-lite bill to an early vote. Please take immediate action to oppose this. Our hardwired letter to Congress reads…

I strongly oppose Paul Ryan’s Obamacare replacement bill, and so should you.

You can copy or edit this sample text for your personal letter to Congress…

Most Americans dislike Obamacare. Republicans promised to repeal it. Paul Ryan’s bill does not do that. Passing it will be a betrayal. Instead…

Pass S. 554. This is the same repeal bill the GOP passed in 2016.

Then pass S. 222. That bill would give us better and cheaper healthcare.

Speaker Ryan said Republicans risk losing Congress if they don’t unify this week to force passage of his bill. But he’s wrong.

Weigh the political risks correctly. Doing little or nothing significant to repeal and replace Obamacare will boomerang on you and your party’s political future as well as doom us to a socialized healthcare system. Don’t screw this up.

Reminder: When you send your letter, you may have a Rep or Senator that is not current. Well, a new Downsize DC website is coming soon (details)! We believe we’ll be ready to beta test the site next week. So we’re not diverting money or time into updating our current software. But action cannot wait. Your letter will still be delivered to the other incumbents, so please send it.

Thanks for being an ACTIVE DC Downsizer,

Perry Willis & Jim Babka
