URGENT: Will the FDA Harm Compounding Pharmacies?

A personal message from Jim Babka and Perry Willis

S. 959 would harm compounding pharmacies by placing them under FDA control.

We both use these pharmacies to stay healthy and save money. They’re much cheaper than Big Pharma. Please don’t let Congress destroy this life saving resource. Please help us defeat S. 959.

This is urgent. The Senate could vote next week. So please act now! And ask others to do the same.

Send your instructions to Congress using our FDA campaign. The hardwired letter for this campaign reads . . .

Make the FDA advisory, not mandatory.

Add the following . . .

Above all, do NOT expand FDA powers. Please oppose S. 959.

If you want to say more you can copy or edit the letter we sent . . .

Above all, do NOT expand FDA powers. Please oppose S. 959.

This terrible bill will increase healthcare costs by giving the FDA control over all compounding pharmacies. These increased costs will cause many people to forego preventative healthcare.

Even worse, the FDA was complicit in the events it now seeks to exploit . . .

The FDA knew, as early as 2002, that ONE compounding pharmacy was doing risky things. But the FDA took no action until 2012. By that point, 700 people were sick and 53 had died.

The FDA Commissioner then went on 60 Minutes and lied to the American people. She claimed this tragedy happened because the FDA lacked regulatory authority. But a House investigation showed the opposite. The FDA simply failed to do its job.

Now the FDA wants to use its incompetence as an excuse to grab more power. The opposite should happen.

This is like the SEC’s failure to investigate Bernie Madoff, despite numerous tips. Too many Americans place too much faith in these agencies. They provide a false sense of security. We need to stop pretending and look to our own safety. Above all . . .

You must NOT impede a vital life saving resource because ONE compounding pharmacy did bad things. Congress always punishes the innocent for the crimes of the guilty. Stop doing this.

I DENY MY CONSENT FOR S. 959.

Here’s a great a summary of Congressional findings about this matter:  http://www.lef.org/featured-articles/FDA-Deception-Exposed.htm
