The Iraq War, enabled by Congress's 2002 Authorization, was UNPROVOKED AGGRESSION that led to at least 100,000 deaths.
But 11 years later the authorization for this aggression hasn't been repealed. When Rand Paul proposed repeal in 2011, only 29 Senators agreed.
As a result, Obama has re-deployed troops in Iraq. (http://bit.ly/VElZtd) That’s right: Special forces were sent BACK INTO IRAQ. This news zipped right past us. The New York Times put it in the 15th paragraph of a story about factional troubles.
This is the last thing the American people want.
So tell me…
Why should I have “faith” in Congress or this so-called representative “government?”
You can't even repeal this shameful resolution, so how can I expect you to do ANYTHING moral and just?
If Russia or China invaded other countries and committed drone murders, would you call their intentions moral and just? Wouldn't you say they were in flagrant violation of international law?
What's impermissible for them — or any country — is impermissible for the United States. Morality doesn't give exceptions to the U.S.
Moreover, immoral acts often lead to foolish and insane policies. For instance…
* You make enemies of the Shiite regime in Iran…
* While you defend Iraq's Shiite regime against Sunni insurgents…
* Yet support those SAME insurgents — with Al Qaeda ties — against Syria's Shiite State.
* You supported these same Al Qaeda types in Libya, but are now “concerned” that they've spread to Mali.Can you see the insanity? Who is supposed to be the enemy right now? You seem to have the same people as both friends and enemies at the same time!
In short, you're not helping anyone over there. You're just making new enemies for the American people. And you're ignoring the will of those you supposedly represent.
You know the right thing to do…
* Repeal the 2001 AUMF. The alleged 9/11 ringleaders are captured or dead.
* Repeal the 2002 Iraq War authorization.
* Don't meddle in other countries.
* STOP TRYING TO POLICE THE WORLD!I deny consent to your actions.
This is notice that I'm using your behavior as evidence against you, seeking to win the conscience of my neighbors, family, friends, and co-workers. Your actions will undermine you, so that eventually, after repeated substantiation, they too will deny consent to be “governed” by you.
